In healthcare over 13 years
I completed my LPN degree and began working at what is now Harmony Waterloo as a floor nurse. I then went back to school, obtained my RN degree, and was promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing. I am proud that I am currently serving as the Director of Nursing at Harmony Waterloo.
My team of nurses and I witness firsthand the positive impact we have on our residents, which constantly motivates us to strive to be the best. They depend on us, and it is an honor to care for them. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and handle every challenge together. We love what we do and have longevity – with multiple team members who have been here for years. Though our name has changed, we are the same team that has committed ourselves to Waterloo for years, and we are excited to re-introduce ourselves to you.
In healthcare over 30 years
My healthcare career began as a physical therapy assistant, where I gained experience in diverse clinical settings including outpatient, home health, inpatient care, and skilled nursing facilities. I find immense reward in both the physiological aspects of my work and the connections I form with patients.
As Director of Rehabilitation, my leadership style is supportive and coaching-oriented. I prioritize being a team player, offering guidance, and providing unwavering support to my team. My perspective on leadership is informed by my experience on both the clinical and management sides of healthcare, enabling me to understand the challenges and opportunities from both perspectives.
